On Sunday 11th November 2018 the annual Remembrance Day Parade and Service will be taking place in Totton.
The day will take place much as in previous years however this year please be aware that the parade will be forming up earlier.
If you wish to march in the Parade please be in Beaumont Road at 0930 for form up ready to march off at 1000. The reason for this is that it takes quite a long while to get all the marching youth groups into position around the memorial and we have more and more wreath layers every year. Therefore a little more time is required to ensure that we are spot on time with the maroons and Last Post.
Anyone who wishes not to march and just lay a wreath is asked to arrive at the War Memorial for 1000.
Please also be aware that due to the service falling on Armistice Day this year the marrons will be fired as part of the service. The marrons make a very large bang and will be fired on either side of the two minute silence.
Thank You to all those who will be participating in or supporting what shall be a special day as we commemorate Remembrance and especially this year one hundred years since the end of World War One.
If anyone has any questions or would like to volunteer to help with the running of the parade please contact me on email@example.com.
